Possibly my favorite sandwich was the classic Cubano sandwich made with turkey.
I’m sure I don’t need to describe a Cubano but it is roasted pork and ham with mustard mayo sauce, Swiss cheese and pickles.
So we used Nature’s Ridge Oil Browned Turkey which was like the ham. And then our turkey tenders that we roasted and cut. And so the turkey tenders took the place of the roasted pork.
We added a mustard mayo sauce. I used two parts of mustard to one part mayonnaise. So if you’re making three cups I use two cups of mustard and one cup of mayonnaise.
So it’s bright yellow mustard. It still has the sharpness of the yellow mustard with a little creaminess or the mayonnaise. And we put Swiss cheese on those big long sandwiches and we put them in the oven until the cheese was bubbly hot. And cut them crosswise and they sold pretty well as well.
